Since the beginning of this year, Baosteel, Wisco and SOBOOM and other steel production companies have achieved output growth and export expansion: in the first eight months, the output of crude steel, pig iron and steel was 712.93 million tons, 603.59 million tons and 909.2 million tons, an increase of 2.6%, 3.7% and 6.3% respectively. The export of steel was 58.785,000 tons, an increase of 28.4%.

Chang Guowu said that in order to improve the support capacity of iron resources and other iron resources, in accordance with the requirements of the "plan", accelerate the start and production of key domestic iron ore projects, expand capacity and production, ensure the normal production of compliant mining enterprises, at the same time, strengthen the recycling and utilization of scrap steel resources, improve the construction of scrap recycling processing and distribution system, and promote the expansion of imports of recycled steel raw materials.
